We live a life behind the scene. We take great pride in delivering customer specific sheet metal parts for high demanding applications for global brands that you propably do know.

Laser assisted Metal spinning
In order to offer Sheet metal forming in Nickel and Titanium materials for Aerospace,and other demanding applications, a development project with Laser assisted metal spinning is made in cooporation with Frauenhofer, MCL institute, Leifeld, Radkenburger Metallwaren, Multiform and Olsen Metal. We are expecting this project to set new boundaries in metal spinning. Contact us if you have needs for high demanding parts in Titanium or Nickel alloys !
PMI testing
Olsen have invest in PMI X-ray equipment for positive material identification.
Due to the increasing issues with non conforming material, Olsen can now offer 100 % material identification and validate conformity.
This service is offered as a compliment to our material certification system or as a stand alone service.

November 2010: New LEIFELD machine operating:
The latest technology in metalspinning is now available at Olsen. New machine is capable of spinning up to 10 mm thick stainless steel.
December 2009: Olsen signs deal with LEIFELD.
As stated in our vision, we strive to be the leading supplier of metal spinning. The latest in technology is essential to maintain this position.
The next generation spinning machine, first of its kind in the world, will be delivered to Olsen in the near future. The machine will support our LEAN journey and reduce our setup times with 75 %. We will also expand our spinning capability with 50 % more power.

June 2009: Olsen turns 50
The 29 june, 1959, Erling Olsen started his business in a backyard near Copenhagen. Old craftmanship in copper and brass. Today, 50 years later we still operate the business with the same strategy but with modern technology and focus on parts for industry in stainless steel, Titanium and Nickel alloys.
We are the leading supplier of metal spinning with continuous focus on Technology, people and processes.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers for helping us getting to where we are today and we look forward to another 50 years in the business........
May 2009: LEAN, Ready, Aim, Fire......
Lean project at Olsen. Introducing work cell for 5 dedicated products. Goal: Lead time reduction from currently 11 weeks to 10 days.
April 2009: New degreasing / washing machine
Our new degreasing machine is installed. We look forward to deliver clean parts, washed and degreased with respect for the environment.
Metalspinning confusion
About the confusion of metalspinning and deep drawing, in danish Metaltryk and dybtræk and in german Tiefziehn and metalldrück:
The words that other people have used to find information on metalspinning and deep drawing is Metaltrykning in danish, dybtræk or dybdetræk in danish, mealforarbejdning in danish. In German it is metalldrÿck and metalldrücken and tiefziehn. The english words for these processes are metal spinning and deep drawing. Some people spell them metalspinning and deepdrawing.
In general there is a lot of confusion about the words used for metal spinning or metaltryk. The word is better in english than it is in danish. Metaltrykning a lot of people confuse with stamping numbers or text on metal. But this is not the case. It can rather be defined as a process of rolling material over a tool to obtain a shape.
Deep drawing or in danish ”dybtræk” has nothing to do with pulling, but is a process where the steel glides over the mantrel.
